Current topics - American Civil War and the Polish Insurrection. Sudden birth of a first son (the rather odd Albert Victor) to the Prince and Princess of Wales. Prussian/Austrian troops on the march towards Denmark and the British Prime Minister Earl Russell is quoted as saying that Britain would assist Denmark if called on to do so. We now know that this was an empty promise.
