• Adolf Hitler held his first National Socialist party meeting in Berlin to the chant of Heil Hitler
• In Russia Stalin expelled Leon Trotsky and Grigori Zinoviev from the Soviet Communist Party
• "Black Friday" in Germany as the economy collapses
