On May 26, 1951, a second commemorative issue came out: the ‘Exhibitions Number’
(Appendix List No. 139). Here we see the
main features of the Transport and Communications Pavillion, the exhibits
under the Dome of Discovery, the Power and Productions Building and the
sculptures, murals, mobiles and pylons fashioned by the Nations leading
artists.
The cover shows a colourful illustration of Britannia standing on the
cliffs of Dover welcoming ships bringing overseas trade and wealth.
