of the procession from Marlborough House to Westminster Hall on March
29 for the Lying-in-State with the four royal Dukes (Edinburgh, Windsor,
Gloucester and Kent) following the gun-carriage bearing the coffin of
Queen Mary; the Lying-in-State in Westminster Hall with the coffin set
on a catafalque on a stepped dais and draped with the Alexandra Pall;
the last tribute as thousands of people filed past the bier to pay their
last respects; the funeral and burial service in St. George’s Chapel,
Windsor; the memorial service in St. Paul’s Cathedral and the official
and private tributes of flowers. |
