The fourth special issue of July 1st, 1911 was the
‘Coronation Double Number’

(Appendix list no.59). It depicts Coronation
night in London, the Coronation Procession and Royal Progress, the crowning
of the King and Queen, the Prince of Wales Doing homage to the King,
the Coronation Review of the Fleet, and all the illuminations and decorations
of the City. With this issue was presented as a supplement, a set of
beautiful reproductions in colour, comprising portraits of Their Majesties
in their Coronation robes, attended by the Archbishop of Canterbury
and four natural-colour photographs of the State Coach.
The colourful wrapper shows the Coronation State coach drawn by the
famous cream horses accompanied by members of the Household Troops and
Yeomen of the Guard. Above the procession, flags of the Empire and bunting
form a striking canopy. The issue, number 3767, vol. 139 (pages 1-72),
measures 30 x 42 cm and was priced at one shilling.
