The Crimean War, which took place from 1853 to 1856,
Gt. Britain did not enter the war until March 28th 1854,
was a significant conflict that involved several European powers,
including the Russian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, France,
and Great Britain.
The Illustrated London News provided extensive coverage of the war,
offering its readers detailed reports, illustrations, and engravings
depicting various aspects of the conflict.
The newspaper's coverage included reports on key events and battles,
such as the Siege of Sevastopol, the Battle of Balaclava,
and the Charge of the Light Brigade.
Illustrations and engravings were used to depict scenes from the war,
including battlefield images, military engagements, and portraits
of key military figures and leaders involved in the conflict.

The Illustrated London News also provided updates on the
conditions faced by soldiers in the field, the challenges of the campaign,
and the overall progress of the war.
The Illustrated London news's coverage contributed to shaping public
opinion and awareness of the war's developments, both in the
United Kingdom and internationally.
